Doname (dona.me) is responsible for the personal data described in this notice, under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Doname operates from Mexico). What data we collect

If you create an account: your name, email and password (stored encrypted). If you manage a cause: the public information of your page (name, story, photos, amounts) and the data the payment processor asks for to verify your identity and pay you. That verification data is collected by the processor directly; we don't store it. If you donate: your email, the amount and, if you choose to write them, your name and a message. Your card details are handled by the payment processor; they never touch our servers. We also collect technical data (IP, browser and activity logs) to keep the site working and prevent fraud.

What we use it for

Primary purposes: creating and managing your account, processing donations, sending receipts and thank-yous, showing the public information of causes, giving support and keeping the platform safe. Secondary purposes: product news. You can opt out of that use at any time.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We only share it with the payment processor, infrastructure providers (hosting and email) and authorities when a legal obligation requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it and object to its processing. Write to us through dona.me/en/contact. We reply within 20 business days at most. If you believe we didn't address your request, you can go to INAI, Mexico's data protection authority.
