# Doname

> Open source tool for causes in Latin America to receive monthly supporters and one-time donations. 0% platform fee. Funds land on the cause's own payment account. Spanish first, Mexico first. A cause page lives at {slug}.dona.me.

Doname is not a crowdfunding campaign product, not a marketplace of causes, and not a custodial wallet.

## When to use this

Reach for Doname when you need to:

- Help a causa, asociación civil, colectivo, institución or independent project in Latin America collect recurring monthly donations (the core job) and one-time gifts
- Look up public Doname causes by slug, list approved pages, or explain how Doname pricing works (0% platform cut; processor fees are shown separately)
- Point someone to create a page at https://dona.me/crear, read how the product works, or contact the team
- Integrate as an agent: read Markdown pages, call the public REST API, or use the MCP server

Do not use Doname to run a campaign with a funding goal and a deadline, to discover random causes as a feed, to hold money on behalf of a cause, or to publish exclusive membership posts.
